Shipping & Delivery

So you've made an order? Welcome to the Joker and the Thief family!

Once you have placed an order, our team will carefully package your items and ship them within 24-48 hours.

Your products will be sent via USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL or Global Logistics based on your location, and then they should be safely in your patiently waiting hands within 3-7 business days**.

As soon as your order is sent you will receive a shipping confirmation email from us complete with a tracking number so you can follow its journey.

*Please note: We send via signature required post to ensure safe delivery - if you opt for ‘Authority To Leave’ yourself, we are not responsible for the package in the rare case it is missing or stolen.

**Please note: Listed estimated time is USA domestic orders only. All shipping timeframes are from the advertised date of dispatch. Should your item have a pre-order date (advised next to the product name in brackets), this is the date of dispatch. The delivery timeframe starts from the pre-order date it ships on. If there’s no date next to the product name, you’re in luck - it’s ready to go!

All orders are subject to Flat Rate Shipping. Orders under $75 worldwide have a single flat rate.

Order over $75 are FREE.

Once your order is picked and packed, the magical journey from Joker and the Thief to your front door begins.  

Within the USA, you can expect your order to arrive within 3-7 business days.

For those overseas, your package will take 7 to 21 working days, depending on your location.

Yay, time to celebrate – your order is on its way! After we pass your order to the courier, we will send you a shipping confirmation email which will have a ‘Track Order’ button. This will take you directly to a tracking site so you can follow the live tracking updates!

Haven’t received your shipping confirmation email yet? Check your spam folder too (it may have ended up there).

Think your order might be lost in transit?

Although our shipping partners quote us 3-7 business days for standard delivery, sometimes life happens and they aren’t able to deliver within this timeframe. When this is the case, your tracking number may show a ‘delayed’ delivery date. 

If your order isn’t delivered within 20 days, please contact us and we can launch an investigation.

*Please note: For any queries or issues related to your order, we recommend you first reach out to your local post office directly. While we understand delays are frustrating, we are required to work within our couriers processes. Once you have contacted your post office directly, let us know and we can contact them on your behalf to try and resolve any issues ASAP.

Oops, is your order not being sent to the right address? We can absolutely help change this for you! Provided your order has not shipped, please send us the new details and we can change this over for you.

*Please note: We can only send your order to the address you provide on your order - if you have provided an incorrect address, and the package is delivered there, we are unable to retrieve it so please check your address carefully!

Yes we ship worldwide!

**Please note: We cannot ship to the United Kingdom on orders under the value of $160usd, due to VAT restrictions. We are working to resolve that.

Within the USA - no, because our decks ship from California you avoid any extra charges because our products ship from your back yard.

If you're from overseas, yes customs or import fees will apply depending on where you're from. Note: You are responsible for any and all import charges.

Product Questions

We don’t use stock art — every card is custom-drawn. From the face cards to the back design to the box, it’s all original. Plus, we print in small batches, so they’re collectible and playable.

100% playable. These aren’t museum pieces (unless you want them to be). They’re built for poker nights, magic tricks, and showing off.

Smooth, snappy, and buttery right out of the box. They handle like a dream - whether you’re dealing cards, doing cardistry or doing magic.

Absolutely. You get two custom jokers, and sometimes an extra card or two depending on the design.

Most of them, yes. But not all. Limited Editions are stated in the product descriptions. Generally speaking though, we print once, then that’s it. No reprints, no second chances. If you see a deck you like, grab it - or risk hunting it down on the resale market later.

Magicians love them. They handle beautifully and look bold on camera or in person. You might even get asked where you got them mid-trick.

Keep them somewhere cool and dry, and out of direct sunlight. Got something rare? Use a card case or display it - they deserve the spotlight.

They’re the heart of every deck. Think of them as shape-shifting antiheroes — jumping from nautical worlds to ancient ruins to wild frontiers. Every release is another chapter in their tale.

Totally. Our decks are cut and finished to flow - great for fans, cuts, and flourishes. Built for movement and flex.

Built tough. Our decks are printed on premium stock, which means they’re snappier, and longer-lasting than most cards. With proper care, they’ll go the distance.

Absolutely. These decks are poker-ready — standard size, crisp indexing, and smooth shuffling. They’ll hold up game after game, whether you’re hosting a casual night or a high-stakes showdown.

Yep! They’re standard poker size and work perfectly for any classic card game. They also make your game night look a lot more impressive.

Only if you’ve got a killer poker face. But they will make you the most stylish player at the table.

Returns & Exchanges

Yes. We want you to be happy with your order. If an item arrives that isn't what you expected, we offer returns for store credit on any item that's still in sealed, new, and undamaged condition, purchased at jokerandthethief.com within 30 days of your order. If something's wrong — a damaged deck or the wrong item — get in touch and we'll make it right. Just email us at hello@jokerandthethief.com with your order number in the subject line.

You have 30 days from the date of your original order. After 30 days have passed, we're unfortunately unable to offer a return or exchange. To qualify, your item must be unused, in the same condition you received it, and still in its sealed, original packaging.

We don't offer monetary refunds once an order is placed, but we're glad to help with a return for store credit. Eligible returns are issued as a digital gift card or a one-time discount code for the value of the item, so you can put it toward something you'll love. Items must be sealed, unused, and in their original packaging, and we'll need a receipt or proof of purchase. (Damaged or incorrect items are handled separately — see below.)

Yes, you're responsible for your own return shipping costs, and shipping charges are non-refundable. If a return results in credit, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from that amount. One exception: if your order arrived damaged or you received the wrong item due to our error, don't cover anything yet — email us first at hello@jokerandthethief.com with your order number and a photo, and we'll sort it out. Please don't open an item you believe is incorrect or damaged, as that may affect your eligibility.

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we'll process your store credit within 5 business days and email your digital gift card or discount code. For damaged or incorrect items, remember to submit your claim within 7 days of delivery so we can get a replacement moving quickly.

Payment

Your privacy and security is our highest priority. We use Shopify Payments which is an extremely secure and highly encrypted system designed to protect customers and also hold merchants accountable.

We also offer PayPal which offers buyer protected and is trusted globally.

We accept the good old-fashioned methods of payment, such as credit cards (Visa/Mastercard/Discover/American Express) as well as debit cards that can be used for online transactions. We offer Google Pay and Apple Pay too, as well as PayPal!

Unfortunately, we don't currently offer any split pay options (like Afterpay, Klarna or ZipPay). These are coming soon though!

Woo, it’s on sale - so you’re basically saving money (at least, that’s what we tell ourselves when something is on sale). Simply head to the checkout, and on the first page of the checkout there will be a box for you to enter your discount code in - make sure to click ‘Apply’! This is offered before the payment page so you’re totally aware of how much you can save.

Something not quite right with your order? Don’t worry, our team is ready to spring into action! Please contact us to advise of the issue, and to help resolve things quickly we request you include photos so we can help identify what has happened.

These things happen! Please email us immediately with the subject line CHANGE or CANCEL and we will do our absolute best to carry out your request. If it has already been dispatched from our warehouse, you will need to go through our returns process.

As we do our best to get your orders out to you as soon as we can, occasionally an order will be processed before the team has a chance to change it. We cannot guarantee a change of order after the order is placed so please select your items carefully.

Gone are the days of carrier pigeons and smoke signals – emailing us is the way to go! You can contact us here or by emailing us at hello@jokerandthethief.com. This also allows us to keep a paper trail for your issue so we can help you as best we can. We’re only human, so please be patient and we are working as quickly as possible to get back to you. We promise we won’t leave you on ‘read’!

Our Joker and the Thief HQ is located in Brisbane, Australia. But your Joker and the Thief products start their journey to you from our warehouse in San Diego.

*Please note: Our Joker and the Thief HQ is not a retail store and we hold no stock there, and we are unable to offer collection at any of our fulfilment centres.
